| One
of our traditions on Children in Need Day is that everyone in Porth
Junior School has a guess of how much we collected from donations and
sponsorship. We congregate in the hall at about 3 o'clock and play the "Guessing Game". Every year, Mr Morris asks the question "Stand up if you've got between £100 and £110?". So children stand up and he says "You're wrong, sit down!" He carries on until he narrows the field down to the nearest ten pounds. Then those children come out the front and we start again. When the last three, the closest, are left, he tells us how much we collected and they get a prize of a packet of crisps and a drink each. Mr. Morris took the Football Squad to a tournament this year, so Mr. Jones took over. He used the white board to show the children the amount we raised. |

| This
year, the winner was Natalie from Class 6J. She was only 6p out. Jarrad
was 14p out and Taylor was next with £173.00. The figure we collected is on
the white board in the background. Congratulations kids! We had a few extra pounds in the week after to make up our final total |
