Kayleigh's poetry wins her a certificate.

This month Kayleigh from 5M was awarded a certificate by Mrs Morgan for writing the poem you can read below. This was voluntary work which was completed in her own spare time. During the Certificate Assembly Mr. Morris read out the One Stormy Night poem for everyone to hear. We all gave Kayleigh a big round of applause for her efforts. Well done Kayleigh.

One Stormy Night

One stormy nights when lightening struck,
The wind was howling and growling so much.
I'm cuddling my teddies so they won't get scared,
Then all of a sudden the whole sky BLARED!
I am really scared and lonely,
Mum and Dad please get back soon

BANG! went the door as my parents stumbled in,
Mum went into the kitchen and popped open a tin,
Chicken soup for supper, then it's time for bed,
Daddy came in "Goodnight" he said,
I fell into my lovely, cosy, warm bed.
Then my mother creaked open the door
"Goodnight, sweet dreams" she said
